MCHD Emergency Room
The Moore County Hospital District emergency room offers skilled, quality emergency services in your time of need 24/7. The MCHD emergency room offers many benefits to the local community including a shorter waiting time than larger facilities and skilled, quality nursing staff from our own community who provide personalized care to you and your family.
The MCHD emergency room is staffed by physicians and mid-level providers from Hospital MD, who serve not only our Emergency Department, but provide a continuum of care in our Med/Surg & ICU unit, Swingbed unit, and Nursing Home.

Our exceptional nursing staff and Hospitalists provide top notch quality care for all patients in our Inpatient setting. Our staff utilizes their highly experienced clinical knowledge with personalized patient care to produce exceptional results. MCHD Inpatient staff takes their clinical quality very seriously as they realize that the patients they care for are their friends, neighbors, and family.

Labor and Delivery Services
Moore County Hospital District's Labor & Delivery staff is proud to be a part of one of the most precious moments in the lives of their patients. You can feel assured that MCHD uses the highest level of care and security for you and your new addition and our staff will be with you as you take the first step in your new journey.
Our Certified Lactation Nurses offer breastfeeding assistance to provide you with the information you need to put you at ease. They offer a hotline for new mothers at (806) 934-6110 or you can email them at lactation@mchd.net at your convenience.

Respiratory Services
Moore County Hospital District Respiratory Services is a hidden gem within the District walls that helps to provide testing and diagnosis of ailments of the heart and lungs to MCHD patients. It's our Respiratory staff that you want working with you if might have an Obstructive Pulmonary Disease such as Asthma or COPD, or if your heart may be failing you.
Our highly skilled and experienced staff provides professional and personalized care to every patient they see in both an inpatient and outpatient setting and provide exceptional care... always to patients.

Imaging Services
Moore County Hospital District is committed to quality services and quality care to our patients. All images are digital, and may be viewed by your physician on a computer using a system called PACS. Your images may also be burned to a CD, increasing both efficiency and convenience.
Radiology Interpretive Services (readings) are available at MCHD 24 hours a day, seven days a week by Board Certified Radiologists. Each technologist in the Imaging department is a nationally registered professional. They are concerned about your comfort and they work diligently to perform your examinations quickly and considerately. Your technologist welcomes your questions and will explain anything that you may not understand.
MCHD Imaging has self-referral status for mammograms and may be contacted directly to scheduled an exam without the need for a Doctor referral at (806) 934-7815.

Laboratory Services
The exceptional thing about Moore County Hospital District Laboratory Services is not only that they employ the best staff and have the most technologically advanced equipment, but that they never close. For individuals who only have a few moments in the evening or before the start of the work day, the MCHD Lab is there for them.
MCHD offers a wide range of Laboratory services for both Inpatient and Outpatient settings and has a track record of fast results. To add to the convenience, for tests that are reoccurring, our lab patients only have to register the first time, which will save them time and hassle.

Moore County Therapy Services is the leading provider of physical, occupational, and speech therapy in Dumas. Our staff consists of: multiple physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, occupational therapist assistant, and speech-language pathologist with a combined experience of over 124 years in the field.
Patients of all ages may receive treatment for conditions such as: Acute/Chronic musculaskeletal conditions; Sports injuries; Orthopedice postsurgical care; Chronic pain; Neuromuscular disease; Stroke; Arthritis; Amputation; Wound Care; Nontraumatic spinal cord injury; Paraplegia; Deconditioning; and Work hardening.

Social Services
Moore County Hospital District offers Social Services to its patients to provide a continuum of care long after a patient leaves our campus. Our Social Worker is skilled and compassionate and provides crucial services to our patients.
Our Social Worker is part of an interdisciplinary team that works to care for patients, residents, and community members.

Nutrition Services
We know that good nutrition plays a critical role in the prevention and control of disease as well as in the overall health of an individual. Good nutrition is a key contributor to staying well. It is also an important part of treating or managing health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, digestive disorders, obesity and high blood pressure.
MCHD’s Registered Dietitian provides personal dietary counseling as well as education programs to help you eat right and look at food in a healthy new way.
Our Registered Dietitian utilizes specialized training in nutrition as well as advanced counseling training and experience in designing a personalized diet plan for the patient’s unique needs. A one-on-one meeting with our Registered Dietitian will result in assessment of your current diet and recommendations for practical changes to improve your health.
Services are provided to hospital in-patients and out-patients as well as to our MNRC residents. Our Registered Dietitian also works in conjunction with our MCHD’s Nurse Educator to provide education and support through our monthly Diabetes Support Group. Out-patient services are provided based on physician referral. Whether the need is for weight loss, heart disease, eating disorders, health in pregnancy, or other condition, ask your physician for a referral to our Registered Dietitian.
